I want to like this one the most--but the secondaries are not as good. Editing is nicer but the backing format is a custom text file, which also has custom sync tools, which also probably involves having to load the entire diary every time the program is opened.

Markdown-ish formatting, but its previewed live in a rich text editor

Export is much more limited than Red Notebook; mostly just a backup format for merging with other diaries

Uses a custom text format to store all diary entries

Deletes records to "trash," wasn't able to figure out how the trash is emptied easily
