tl;dr brave families tend to win out in society and have better survival, but cowardly genes never die out either.
Life that helps similar life forms survive tends to survive longer and reproduces over a long period of time.
Cowardly behavior: blob runs from a predator leaving others to die
Altruistic behavior: blob distracts predator, dies, but remainder of family escapes
Altrustic behavior tends to dominate a population
Haploid: when a creature has a single genetic strain. children receive a copy from a random parent.
Diploid: when a creature has two genetic strains. both halves are randomly selected from a parent, allowing possible hybridization.
Hamilton's Rule: Br - C > 0
Br = relationship by descent
Fraction added (Br) > current frequncy (C)
