Linear feeds are a dark pattern

Linear feeds do a horrible job of letting the user prioritise posts, encouraging mindless scrolling so as to keep up with all their friends.

Linear feeds (esp. with infinite scrolling) contribute to social media addiction.

Showing a list of people who have communicated on this day--being able to open it to see what they posted--allows you to keep up with quiet posters.

You can do this with pleromabox and a mail filter :-)
