i thought i would start up this blog thing again. i haven't done the normal person thing of using blogging software in a long time and i've long since dumped my wordpress accounts in the garbage. usually i set these up for a couple months and then after nobody reads them i shrug and throw them in the bin. no real sense writing things for nobody--i can just hug the plushies if i want to talk to myself.

we will see what happens with this one. i would not expect much though.

getting things working was a little peculiar because the build instructions for WriteFreely are out of date and i had to do a custom build because of how the iceworks server works. someone should probably go and bother upstream that `go get` is no longer allowed outside of project folders though.
