Finished watching this one recently.

It's probably most related to Persona but switched over to a tactical combat grid (kind of) rather than traditional JRPG combat. Otherwise there is a lot less personality all around. Everyone has somewhat minimal personality and the motivations for everyone is basically school bullying. Also everyone is miraculously stuck inside the generic Japanese High School because of Reasons.

Cringelords can appeal to demons for special powers and this leaves macguffins in the otherworld and the player has to go give them the smash which removes the powers and also turns the cringelord in to a vegetable. Use of said powers causes mist to form in the Japanese High School and if normies get stuck in there then they wander around like lemmings saying nonsense (we will call this "evening news disorder." For whatever reason all the Main Characters only listen to podcasts and are immune to the evening news disorder and fight each other to take control of the normies.

Oh and there is a stuffed animal that is contractually obligated to speak in rhymes.

Usually I like existentialist themes but ... half way through this I just got bored. It didn't pull me in like AI Somnium Files did.
