Collective Kelvin Versioning: Packages can only depend on something with a version lower than itself.

Release Candidates: to completely ignore the whole purpose of the scheme, use "release candidates" as provisional versions before issuing a formal version update.

Basically a minor protest against constantly evolving software by using a system designed to become "frozen" at some future date.
