Lame Duck

A lame duck situation is one where the player has lost or is otherwise unable to make any meaningful decisions.

The player may still sign orders or make plays but the orders will not be followed or the plays cannot possibly lead to a victory.

The ways out of such a situation are to basically hope for a blunder or "not be in that situation."

They may be able to still cause miscelaneous damage or be deciders in someone else's ability to win (in which case they are a Kingmaker.)
