You need one of these to accept e-mail.

An "MX" record is a DNS entry which says which host should accept e-mail for a given domain address.

For example a record of "@ iceworks.cc" says that mail sent to icedquinn@iceworks.cc should be handled by the same host (iceworks.cc)
