Soft materials like felt, rubber, and sponge will absorb sound and force from the printer but cannot be used directly
A plate of concrete can be used to smooth the force across the entire sponge or felt padding to prevent the soft material being deformed.
Put big felt feet on a concrete slab, or use giant chunks of foam underneath the concrete. This reduces noise and wobble.
Materials with springiness but high dapening are useful for printer feet.
Some printer stands use squash balls for feet.
Four separate foam/squash feet may improve printing over a single foam surface.
