The concept was to utilize the difference in potential of the two positives which is 12 volts and plug that into an inverter that could power a transformer. This produces a single charged 12volt battery at constant amperage and the 24 volt battery to split the supply power delivered while being suplimented by independent sources and the transformer. Tesla demonstrated the concept of switching the positioning of three batteries so as to ensure longer life of the system by rotating the the positions of the batteries to recharge the depleted cells from the series connected cells.The idea is to maintain a constant(K) fully charged 12 vt cell and work with the depletion of the differential of potential of two positves.
