If a source and receiver are comoving, and if c (the speed of light) changes, then [delta] (the wave-length) must also change. The frequency v cannot change as this would result in a continuous increase or diminution of the number of waves in the path, a circumstance in conflict with thermodynamics.
Thus the Michelson-Morley experiment requires neither isotropy incnor the Lorentz contraction to explain the null result.
